Greene County Man Arraigned For Police Standoff
The man who held police at bay in a standoff that lasted for hours Friday in Greene County was arraigned on Monday. 47-year-old Todd McCamey faces three counts of Attempted Second Degree Murder, two counts of Aggravated Domestic Assault and a charge of Possession of a Firearm in the Commission of a Dangerous Felony. On Monday, a judge in Greene County set bond for McCamey at $700,000. Should he post bond, he will have to wear a GPS device and not have contact with two of the individuals who were in the home at the time of the incident.
Friday morning around 7am, Greene County deputies were dispatched to a “domestic incident” at a home on Warrensburg Road. McCamey had barricaded himself in the basement of the home with firearms. He fired on deputies upon their arrival. The SWAT team and a police negotiator had to be called to the scene. Over five hours later, and numerous shots fired at officers, McCamey peacefully surrendered. McCamey’s next court appearance is scheduled for Monday, December 15.
