Second Bomb Threat For Ripley’s Aquarium Of The Smokies
For the second time this month, someone has called in a bomb threat to Ripley’s Aquarium Of The Smokies. Gatlinburg police say the call came in about 8:15 am this morning. The aquarium does not open till 10 am, but there were employees inside the building, so they were evacuated. K-9 units from Gatlinburg Police Department, Sevier County Sheriff’s Office, Sevierville Police Department and the Cocke County Sheriff’s Office responded and searched the facility. No credible threat was found. The investigation is ongoing into who is responsible for calling in that threat. Earlier this month, a bomb threat was called into Ripley’s Aquarium and just like today, no device was found. Police are still seeking the person who called in that threat.
