Little League Registration Now Underway

With as cold as the weather has been and with the snow we’ve had, many are thinking about spring. Here is a sign of spring on the way.

Newport Parks and Recreation has announced that Baseball Registration is currently underway for Smoky Mountain Little League Baseball. There are four age groups that can compete.

T-Ball, which is for both boys and girls, is for those 4-6 years old

Coach Pitch Little League is for 7-8 year olds

Minor League is for those that are 9-10 years of age

Intermediate is for ages 11-13

To register, just go to the website Newporttn.recdesk.com.

Registration is $50 and can be paid at the Newport Community Center. Registration is open now through April 6.
