Thieves Burglarize Cabin Construction Site
Two people building a cabin in Cocke County called the sheriff’s office over the weekend saying someone had burglarized the property. Deputies responded to the address on St Tide Hollow Road where they spoke with the property owners, Lori and Aric Lister. The Listers stated that they come to the property on weekends to work on the cabin. When they arrived this weekend, they found their 30 foot camper, 20×10 Metal storage building, and the under construction cabin had all been broke into with multiple items were stolen. Aric Lister stated that multiple hand held tools were stolen from inside the cabin along with 300 feet of copper wire. Two generators were missing from the storage building, and a battery and propane tank were stolen off the camper.
The Listers estimated the value of the stolen property to be approximately $5000.00 and estimated all the damages to the property to be approximately $1750.00. No suspects in that theft.
