Former Sevierville Police Officer Indicted On DUI Charges
A Sevierville police officer that was involved in an off duty DUI related crash has been indicted by a grand jury. 24 year old Alex Brotts turned himself in at the Sevier County jail Friday where he was booked on two counts of driving under the influence along and one count of violation of the implied consent law. His bond was set at $5,000.
Brotts and fellow police officer Alan Williams were involved in a crash in Sevier County back in November. Both were injured in that crash and Sevier County deputies suspected that alcohol was involved. Both Brotts and Williams resigned from the Sevierville Police department in late December.
