Man Dies In Stabbing Incident

A man is dead after a stabbing in Newport on Thursday, 3/19. According to Newport Chief of Police Scott Lamb, officers were called to a domestic assault incident at Uptown Rentals on at 401 West Broadway #31. When officers arrived, they found 50 year old Michael Wayne Stevesen had been the victim of a stabbing resulting from domestic assault. Stevesen was transported to the hospital but died from his injuries. Lamb says due to the fact that this is an ongoing investigation, no further information is being released.
