Mass Exodus From Lady Vols Continues

Can things get even worse for the Tennessee Lady Vols and head basketball coach Kim Caldwell. Less then two weeks ago, six players announced they were entering the transfer portal. They included twins Mia and Mya Pauldo. Then last Thursday, one of the best players on the team, Talaysia Cooper, announced her intent to enter the portal as well. That left just Jaida Civil as the only player left from the 2025-26 team. On Monday, Civil announced she is entering the portal as well. That leaves Caldwell with an empty roster.

It gets worse. Five star recruit Oliviyah Edwards has said she wants to pull her commitment from Tennessee. She is the #2 ranked player in the nation according to ESPN. Now it appears that Gabby Minus, a high school recruit from Georgia, is the only one that has a roster spot. Kim Caldwell has a lot of work to do as she will now have to rebuild a Lady Vols team from scratch.

It is worth noting that players who enter the transfer portal do not have to transfer, they can return to Tennessee.
