Driver Uninjured After Deer Runs In Front Of Van

A driver was uninjured after a crash at exit 432 on I-40 in Newport on Saturday. 65 year old Douglas Ingleright told Newport police he was taking the off ramp of Exit 432A to westbound US 25-70 when a deer ran out in front of his van. He stated he swerved to miss the deer, slid made contact with an embankment and the van overturned onto its top. Ingleright was not hurt in the wreck. The van was licensed to Pierce’s Produce in Jefferson City.
