Search Continuing For Escaped Sullivan Co. Inmates

The search is continuing for three escaped inmates from the Sullivan County jail in east Tennessee. The three inmates escaped the jail early Friday morning…the sheriff’s office believes the three men climbed into an overhead air vent, through the jail’s HVAC system to escape. The three escapees are now thought to have commandeered a vehicle…police are looking for a White 2001 Short Bed Chevrolet Silverado truck with Tennessee tag 830GSD. No direction of travel was given but police suspect the three may be in Pulaski, Virginia. The three were added to the TBI’s Most Wanted List on Friday and a reward of $22,500…$7500 per inmate was put up on Friday as well. One of the three inmates is 38 year old Tobias Wayne Carr who is charged with second degree murder for allegedly stabbing his wife to death in 2019.
