Hawkins County Man Sentenced For 2019 Murder
A Hawkins County man has now been sentenced after pleading guilty for the 2019 murder of 22 year old Ashley Vick. Police say that Vick’s body was found dumped in a ditch in Hawkins County…she had been shot multiple times. Bradley Eddington and Patrick Charlton were arrested for her murder in December of 2019. Charlton, originally charged with first degree murder pled guilty to the lesser charge of second degree murder. A Hawkins County judge has sentenced him to 40 years in prison without the possibility of parole…meaning Charlton will have to serve the full term of sentence. Eddington was also originally charges with first degree murder, but that charge was dropped last September and he pled guilty to tampering with evidence, abuse of a corpse and accessory after the fact to murder. He was sentenced to 20 years in prison. He must spend 12 years of that sentence behind bars…the rest can be served under house arrest.
