Morristown Police Respond To Man Lying In Road

Morristown Police were called to the 1300 block of South Cumberland about a man lying in the middle of the roadway. Shirley Byrd told police she was driving on south Cumberland with Alex Mincey in the front passenger seat and the victim, 47 year old Carl Davis in the backseat. She stated that she and Davis were arguing and at one point, he opened the door on his own and jumped out of the moving car. Davis was bleeding from the head…he was transported to the Morristown Hamblen ER for treatment. Byrd stated that Davis had been drinking.
