Man Who Threatened To Kill Father Re-arrested

A Cosby man who has been out in jail last week after threatening to kill his father was re-arrested over the weekend. David Carpenter called deputies to his home in Cosby on Saturday stating that his son Bryan Carpenter was back at his residence…where he was forbidden from being. Bryan Carpenter who has been described as a paranoid schizophrenic who does not take his medication…was found hiding in an outbuilding on his father’s property. David Carpenter had to remove the door from the outbuilding to allow deputies to get to Bryan…but the young man fled into the woods before being taken into custody. Deputies later found Bryan Carpenter hiding on a property on Stoneview Way. He had to be tased to be apprehended. He was then transported to the Newport Medical Center for treatment before being turned over to the Cocke County Sheriff’s office.
