Morristown Woman Hit And Killed By Car

A woman in Morristown died when she was hit by a car on Monday afternoon. Morristown police say that Emily Holbrook of Bean Station was driving eastbound on west Andrew Johnson Hwy near New Line Road when 73 year old Kay Vantassell of Morristown walked out into the roadway and right into the path of Holbrook’s car. Vantassell was transported to the Morristown Hamblen ER where she was pronounced dead. No charges were filed against Holbrook.
