WrestleMania Coming To Tennessee…Perhaps
If you are a wrestling fan, get ready for WrestleMania2027. The WWE has come to an agreement with the city of Nashville to bring WrestleMania to music city and the state of Tennessee…if the new stadium for the Tennessee Titans is built. The Titans and the city of Nashville have agreed on terms to build a new $2.1 billion stadium to house Tennessee’s NFL team. The Metro Council still needs to approve that deal to put everything in motion. In the meantime, Butch Spyridon the CEO of the Nashville Convention & Visitors Corp., has received a verbal commitment from WWE to host the 2027 WrestleMania with the provision the stadium is built. Spyridon says he has notified Nashville’s metro council about the deal being in place. WrestleMania is considered to be one of the world’s largest entertainment events reaching more than one billion homes in 57 countries annually. It would have an estimated economic impact of $206.5 million on Nashville and the state of Tennessee would also benefit. Back in April, AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, hosted WrestleMania and 156,352 people attended. Butch Spyridon says this is just a sample of what could be coming to Nashville and Tennessee if the new stadium in Nashville is built.
