Cocke County Sheriff Investigate Theft Of Farm Equipment

The Cocke County sheriff’s department is investigating the theft of over $1,000 worth of farm equipment. Tommy Allen and Gary Wilson told deputies that they lease farmland with a barn on Thinwood Drive. They stated when they went to the barn over the weekend, they found several items put all together in a pile for easy loading. While there, they said a smaller grey car (possibly a Honda or Toyota) with lack fenders pulled onto the property, stopped and paused for a few seconds and then turned around and sped quickly out of the driveway spraying gravel. Items taken so far include a Kobalt tool set and a $1200 hydraulic pump for a tractor. Police so far do not have a suspect.
