EBT Theft

Newport Patrol Officer Alex Reese spoke with Ms. Meghann Hill at the Police Department on Wednesday in regards to her EBT card being used without her consent. Ms. Hill stated that she was arrested on February 24 at the probation office on west highway 25/70, at which time she had left her purse inside the vehicle of Camiele Cox. Ms. Hill stated that Ms. Cox had used her EBT card on multiple occasions on the Cosby Highway for a total amount of $417.88. Ms. Hill stated that Ms. Cox also has her identification card and Social Security card, but is unsure if she has used it.
