Argument Over A Lawn Mower Results In Agg. Assault
Cocke County deputies were called out Saturday afternoon to an address on Evans Valley Road concerning a domestic argument involving a firearm. Deputies arrived and identified the man with the gun as Lance Lepper who complied with deputies commands to get on the ground. An investigation found that an argument had began between Lance Lepper, Teresa Lepper, Brian Jacobson and his mother Paulette. Jacobson was observed to have a laceration on the right side of his head and cheek and also scratches on his right shoulder and back. He was transported to the Newport Medical Center for treatment. Further investigation showed that Jacobson had approached Lance Lepper with a machete during the argument, and Lepper says he defended himself. Lepper says the gun came into play when he fired a shot into the ground to try to get everyone to stop arguing. A warrant for aggravated assault was issued for Brian Jacobson. The argument started over a lawn mower.
