Dandridge Man Charged With Murder

The Jefferson County Sheriff’s office announced over the weekend that they have charged a Dandridge man with murder. 64 year old William Scott McLaughlin is being charged with the murder of 71 year old John Wayne Quesenberry. His body was found in the parking lot of the New Beginnings Church on State Route 92 Thursday night. McLaughlin was taken into custody Friday morning on an unrelated charge. Saturday, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s office charged McLaughlin was First Degree Murder. No further information has been released and the sheriff’s office says that investigation is ongoing.
