Cocke Co. Woman Arrested For Filing False Report

Wednesday morning, Cocke County deputies responded to a report of a burglary in progress at a home on Messer Branch Road. A woman had called 911 saying that her daughter, Melia Hall, had called saying that people were in the house on Messer Branch Road with guns, and that they had Crystal Hall tied up in the living room and were beating her. When deputies arrived on the scene, they spoke with Crystal Hall who stated nothing was going on and they had been sleeping. Deputies then spoke with Melia Hall, who continued to claim that men had broken in and stole things from the home. Hall appeared to be under the influence of a narcotic. She was arrested and charged with filing a false report.
