Two Greeneville Men Charged With Child Sexual Exploitation
Two men from Greeneville have been indicted on charges of sexual exploitation of a child. 24 year old Anthony Charles Roe was arrested in October after a grand jury indicted him 28 counts of Sexual Exploitation of a Minor. Roe is currently being held at the Greene County Detention Center under an $80,000 bond. He is due in court November 30.
56 year old Paul Mauney, who is the publisher of the Greeneville Sun newspaper, turned himself in to the Greene County Sheriffs office on Monday after being indicted on 8 counts of Aggravated Sexual Exploitation of a Minor and 4 counts of Sexual Exploitation of a Minor. He posted a $50,000 bond and was released. He is due in court on January 12.
The investigation into the two men began after the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force received CyberTips from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) concerning the upload of child sex abuse material. According to the Greene County Sheriff’s office, nothing in the investigations led detectives to believe there were any local child victims or any additional concerns for the public.
