17 Dogs Found In Storage Unit In Morristown
The Morristown Hamblen Humane Society is asking for donations from the public after they rescued 17 dogs from a storage unit. On Sunday, police found 17 chihuahuas being kept in a storage unit in Hamblen County. All of these dogs are now under under the care of the Humane society and all 17 need vet evaluations. Some of them are puppies that are so young their eyes aren’t even open yet.
The humane society says they are also in need of things like puppy pads, Purina dog chow small bites and blankets. They also need small toys for the puppies and dogs to help with getting them socialized. A foster family has stepped up to help care for the dogs, but the humane society is supplying everything they need to care for the dogs.
Police are also trying to find the person or persons who left the dogs in the storage unit. Anyone with information should contact Hamblen County Animal Control. If you would like to donate items to help with the 17 chihuahuas, you can contact the humane society at their website, MH-humanesociety.com or drop off donations at their office at 5251 E Morris Blvd in Morristown.
