Another Business Burglarized In Newport

Another burglary in Newport. This one happening Wednesday at Brenda’s Beauty Shop on West Highway 25/70. The side door to the business was kicked in and the cash registers were broken into. According to Brenda Strange, who owns the business, there was around $200 taken from those cash registers.
The Cocke County sheriff’s office is still looking for Bryan Thompson who is a suspect in a rash of burglaries over the last couple of weeks in Newport, including the Smoky Mountain Silencer break in. Police do not have as suspect in the theft at Brenda’s Beauty Shop. Anyone with information should contact the Newport Police Department.
