Applications Now Open For State’s Response And Recovery Fund
Governor Bill Lee and the Tennessee Emergency Management Agency have announced that applications are now open for the Governor’s Response and Recovery Fund (GRRF), a $100 million initiative established to provide flexible financial assistance for current needs caused by disasters like the flooding caused by Helene. But, the fund is also for future unmet disaster recovery needs. Eligible to apply are local governments, non-profit organizations, businesses, farmers, and foresters in counties including Cocke, Carter, Claiborne, Grainger, Greene, Hamblen, Hancock, Hawkins, Jefferson, Johnson, Sevier, Sullivan, Unicoi, and Washington.
Eligible applicants can fill out an online application found on TEMA’s website, which is https://www.tn.gov/tema/recover/governor-s-response-and-recovery-fund.html.
Applicants will need to provide supporting documentation as part of the application. Those applications have to be submitted by May 31, 2025.
