Arby’s Employee Assaulted

One man was arrested Monday in Newport after assaulting an employee at a fast food restaurant. Robert Hynes told police that he was working near the fry-station at Arby’s on Cosby Hwy when 36 year old Ronnie Sexton approached him and hit him in the chest. Video footage of the incident showed Hynes working and Sexton then coming into view. Sexton then quickly approached Hynes, knocked him to the ground and then stood over him in a threatening manner. Sexton reportedly then left the scene riding a motorized scooter. Hynes told police he had no idea why Sexton would attack him. Sexton was later located at his address and taken into custody charged with Assault.
