Bear Cub In Sevier County Loses Headgear
A bear cub in Sevier County is now minus some unwanted head gear. A 5 month old cub had been spotted in the Wears Valley area with a jar on its head. The cub had gotten her head stuck in the jar. After a week of trying to catch the cub, Appalachian Bear Rescue and Tennessee Wildlife Resource Agency were finally successful when a man was able to scale the tree the cub was in and remove the jar. The cub was later caught by Appalachian Bear rescue to be checked out. They say the bear cub, named “Little Trouble” for all the trouble they went to catch her, seems to be in good condition. Little Trouble will stay at Appalachian’s recovery center for a few days to be monitored before she is released back out into the wild.
