Burglary Arrest At Morristown Wal-Mart

Sunday night police in Morristown responded to a shoplifter at the new Wal-Mart location on west Andrew Johnson Highway. The loss prevention officer told police he had watched a woman identified as Shay Ratliff of Talbott take a cart full of merchandise out of the store without paying for them, and then putting them in her truck. She then came back in the store to get another load. The total amount that Ms. Ratliffe tried to get away with was $2645. Police found even more items in her purse…plus they found 3 needles…one of them was full of a brown liquid that she admitted was heroin. Ratliffe was arrested for burglary and possession of schedule I narcotics. All items were returned to the store.
