CCSO Participating In Christmas In The City

Numerous businesses in downtown Newport will be staying open later on Friday for “Christmas In The City”. Many businesses will be having special sales plus refreshments for shoppers coming downtown before the evening Christmas parade. The Cocke County Sheriff’s office will also be staying open late on Friday. They will be doling out hot chocolate and candy from 4-6pm. The Newport Christmas parade begins at 6:30 Friday night…but all the action downtown will start a couple hours prior at 4 that afternoon.
