Cocke County Jail Inmate Hospitalized After Being Attacked

An inmate at the Cocke County jail had to be hospitalized after being attacked by other inmates over the weekend. 61 year old Marty Pack was jailed on Sunday and had not been in his cell for two minutes when he was attacked by fellow inmate4s Clyde Webster & Joshua Moss. According to Corrections officers, Pack was punched in the face about 38 times in 14 seconds. Pack was transported to the Newport Medical Center, then was transferred to the UT Medical Center in Knoxville because of his injuries.
