Cocke County Man Injured In Motorcycle Accident
A Cocke County man was hospitalized Sunday night after being involved in a motorcycle accident. According to a preliminary report from the Tennessee Highway Patrol, 59 year old Jeffrey Haulman was driving a 2009 Harley Davidson motorcycle eastbound on west Hwy 25/70 in Jefferson County. Haulman attempted to navigate a curve, but went into the opposing lane. Haulman struck a 2015 Toyota Camry head on that was traveling westbound. Both vehicles came to uncontrollable stops. The driver of the Camry was 53 year old Kerry Johnson. The accident report states that Haulman was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident and Johnson was wearing a seatbelt. Both individuals were transported to the UT Medical Center for injuries sustained in the crash. Charges could be filed against Jeffery Haulman pending the conclusion of the highway patrol’s investigation.
