Couple Arrested On Drug Charges In Hamblin County
Two people were taken into custody in Morristown on drug charges over the weekend. Police in Hamblen County had received a tip about a black Chevy Impala with a drive out tag that was being driven by Michael Blake Hobbs of Church Hill. Late Sunday night, Hamblen County sheriff’s deputies found that vehicle at the Quality Inn on west Andrew Johnson Highway. Deputies observed a woman identified as Chloe Medeline Ramsey get out of that vehicle and walk into the motel where she was seen speaking with Dobbs. A search of the Impala found a plastic purple heart that contained almost 44 grams of methampheatamine. Deputies also found a metal tray with residue, a glass pipe used to smoke narcotics, digital scales and empty baggies.
Both Dobbs and Ramsey were taken into custody upon exiting the motel. They have been charged with sale or delivery of schedule II narcotics and are being held in the Hamblen County jail on $40,000 bond each.
