Dandridge Man Arrested After 1 Vehicle Crash On Indian Camp Creek Road
Cocke County police responded to a one vehicle crash Monday on Indian Camp Creek Road…the vehicle in the crash reportedly matched the description of one that the Newport Police Department had put a “be on the lookout” order for 20 minutes earlier regarding a reckless driver. Upon arrival police found a yellow 2003 Mazda Protégé station wagon off the road laying on its top…the driver was beside the vehicle unhurt trying to retrieve his keys and phone. 21 year old Christian Wilson of Dandridge told deputy Joshua Boyce that he was late for work to his job in Gatlinburg. Wilson told Boyce he was traveling at 60-65 miles per hour when he crashed. Because of the odor coming from him and the car, Wilson had to admit he had been smoking marijuana while driving. He was arrested for driving under the influence of drugs. A metal grinder and marijuana were found during a search of the car.
