Green County Man Sentenced in 2018 Shooting
A Greene County man who had been arrested for second degree murder has been now been sentenced after pleading guilty to a lesser charge. Back in September of 2018, police in Rogersville responded to a call at the Comfort Inn parking lot where a man had been shot in the abdomen. The victim told police that he had been shot by Justin Robert Feagins after the two quarreled about money.
On Monday in federal court in Greeneville Judge J. Ronnie Greer sentenced Feagins to 10 years in prison for a felon being in possession of ammunition. Feagins had plead guilty to that single count back last September. Video surveillance had been used in this case showing Feagins leaving the scene with a .380 semi-automatic pistol…a .380 caliber cartridge case was found at the scene which matched the bullet recovered from the victim. That victim did recover from the injury.
