Hospital Staff Find Possible Stolen Credit Cards On Patient

Newport police were called to the Newport Medical Center on Memorial Day after hospital staff discovered stolen property. On Sunday night the Cocke County Sheriff’s office had assisted EMS with a transport to the hospital for Psychological Evaluation. The nursing staff at the Newport Medical Center went through the property for the patient Keith Knapp. Knapp’s bag had 12 Debt/Credit Cards that were not in his name. The cards had the names Jamie Sutton and Kevin Johnson on them. Police are currently waiting for those individuals to come forward before any charges are filed against Keith Knapp.
