Jefferson County Juvenile Arrested After Threat Against A School
A Jefferson County teen is now in custody after authorities say he made a threat of mass violence against a school. Jefferson County Schools say they called police after a bomb threat had been posted on social media Thursday night around 6pm. The threat had been made against Patriot Academy. The School Resource Officer and Investigators with the Criminal Investigation Division of the Jefferson County Sheriff’s office began looking into the threat with the assistance of Jefferson County Schools and an agent with the Tennessee Department of Safety and Homeland Security. At 2am Friday morning, authorities went to a residence where they arrested the juvenile responsible. That individuals is now charged with making Threats of mass violence on school property. The juvenile is currently being held at the Richard L. Bean Juvenile Detention Center in Knoxville
