Local Racing Legend Wins In Florida

Local racing legend Jimmy Owens pocketed a cool ten grand last night when dominated the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Track Series Race at East Bay Racway Park near Tampa, Florida. Owens overtook the race leader Garret Smith and held off challenges from Smith to retake the lead. Owens win in the 40 lap race won his $10,000 in earnings. This is one of the last races that will be held at East Bay Raceway Park as it will close at the end of this season.
