Man Arrested For Outstanding Warrants

Newport police arrested a man over the weekend who had outstanding warrants from out of state. 45 year old Richard Butler was driving a red Saturn SUV on East Broadway that di not have registered plates. Butler was found to have warrants out of Sullivan County, Tennessee and also out of Virginia for resisting arrest. Butler was taken into custody without incident.
