Man charged In NC Triple Murder Will Not Fight Extradition

The man who is wanted regarding a triple murder in North Carolina will be extradited from Sevier County back to North Carolina. 28 year old Devan Loving was in court in Sevier County on Monday where he told a judge he would not fight extradition back to Buncombe County, NC. Loving was found last Friday morning at a Motel 6 in Gatlinburg. Police in Gatlinburg say they had been contacted by authorities in Asheville about a missing 16 year old girl and that she and Loving were “persons of interest” in a crime.
Police found Loving and 16 year old Star Grant in bed and took them into custody. That is when police learned that the pair were wanted as suspects in the killing of Star Grant’s father, mother and grandmother. The three bodies were found last Thursday at a home in the Fairview Community southeast of Asheville and detectives believe they had been dead for several days. Grant and Loving are believed to have been in Gatlinburg for several days before they were taken into custody.
Loving is being held without bond in Sevier County awaiting his return to North Carolina. Star Grant is being held in the Sevier County Juvenile Facility and is being charged as an adult in this case. She is expected to be extradited back to North Carolina. Authorities have revealed that Grant had been adopted by 41 year old Travis Grant, who was one of the murder victims.
