Man Crushed While Working On Car

A Jefferson County man was killed Sunday night when the vehicle he was working on fell on top of him. The Dandridge Fire Department, Jefferson County Rescue Squad and County EMS arrived at a home in Dandridge just after 9pm Sunday. Investigators say that 25 year old Christian Roberto Ortega Yanez had been working underneath a vehicle doing repaired, when the jack holding the vehicle up collapsed pinning him underneath that vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene. His body was transported to Knox County Regional Forensic Center for an autopsy.
