More Details From Weekend Drug Arrest

More details have been released about a drug arrest over the weekend in Cocke County. Deputies say they were called Saturday afternoon to an area on Old Highway 411 about two people in a suspicious vehicle. In the passenger seat was 35 year old Ashley Huff of Newport who had a baggie of heroin in her lap. The driver was 33 year old Jordan Hammontree of Newport…he was in possession of heroin and a glass tube for smoking heroin. A total of 31 grams of heroin were found between the two plus Huff was in possession of digital scales and 7 Oxymorphone pills. Both Huff and Hammontree were arrested and charged with schedule I drug possession.
