Morristown Police Respond To Road Rage Incident
Morristown police responded Wednesday afternoon to a road rage incident involving a handgun. Police spotted the suspect vehicle, a red Honda CVR on West Andrew Johnson Hwy and stopped it in front of Zaxby’s restaurant. The driver was 34 year old Dustin Guthrie of Morristown who admitted to being in the road rage incident but denied brandishing a firearm, although a Smith & Wesson M&P Shield 9mm was found under the driver’s seat. Guthrie claimed what he has in his hand was his cellphone. The victim, 18 year old Ryan Butler of Luttrell stated that he wasn’t sure that is was a firearm and may have been a cell phone. Butler declined to file charges.
