Newport Police Arrest Man For Meth

Newport police arrested two men on Jones Cove Circle over the weekend after conducting a traffic stop. A white Lincoln sedan was observed leaving the parking lot of 4 Star Auto. That vehicle then turned onto Jones Cove Circle where it crossed the center line several times. The driver of that car was 60 year old Kenneth Rathbone. He admitted to police that he had drug paraphernalia in the car. When police searched Rathbone, a bag containing 1.2 grams of crystal meth fell out of his pocket.
