Newport Police Called About 2 Intoxicated Men

Newport police were called Monday to the Cash Express on Cosby Hwy about two intoxicated men in the store. Police arrived and found the two men to be intoxicated but were acting nervously. The officer inquired as to why the men were so nervous and asked for permission to search their vehicle, which they gave. The reason they were nervous, was 27 grams of marijuana was found under the front passenger seat. 53 year old William Dixon admitted the marijuana was his. He was arrested for possession of schedule VI.
