NUB Makes Changes To Water Leak Policy

Newport Utilities Board met this week for their monthly meeting. One of the items to come out of that meeting was a revision to the Customer Adjustment Policy for water leaks. The board approved a proposal to their policy regarding water leaks that now adjustments will be applied to only one month of billing and combined water and sewer adjustments may not exceed $500 for any customer, whether commercial or residential. Also, starting with September billing broadband bills will now reflect a line item detail for taxes and fees. That is regarding telephone service only.
