One Dead In Officer Involved Shooting In Greene County

One person is dead after an officer involved shooting over the weekend in Greene County. It started Saturday night around 10pm when deputies went to serve an arrest warrant at a home on Bolton Road in Greeneville. When deputies arrived, someone in the home began firing shots at the deputies. Those shots continued to be fired from inside the home till after midnight. Around 12:30 Sunday morning, deputies came upon a man and woman in back of the residence. The man shot the woman and deputies fired upon the man killing him. The woman was transported to a local hospital where she was in critical condition. Police have identified the deceased male as 37 year old Joshua A. Baker. The TBI is currently investigating that shooting.
