Police Arrest Man Who Broke Into Home

Police arrested a man Thursday for breaking into a home. A caller told police they had watched a man enter a home on Old Knoxville Hwy via the laundry room door, then leave a few minutes later carrying a green or yellow backpack. Police arrived on scene and spotted 37 year old Stephen Jones walking nearby with a backpack matching the description given. When police checked the backpack, a prescription medicine bottle was found inside with the name of the person that lived at the home broken into. Also in the backpack were several other household items and a cellphone. Jones was arrested and charged with breaking and entering and burglary.
