Police Dispatched to Newport Housing Authority Property

Police were dispatched to a Newport Housing Authority property Wednesday night…after someone threw a concrete slab into a home. Officers say they observed both living room windows broken and a large slab of concrete lying on the living room floor. The concrete was found to be the splash block from the gutter downspout. No one was injured but Housing Authority maintenance put damages to that property at $1,000. Police have no suspects at this time.
