Police Respond To Fight At The Quality Inn

Police were called Saturday about a melee going on at the Quality Inn off Cosby Hwy in Newport. Police say several people got into a fight at the pool after a man made inappropriate comments to little girls. Witnesses stated that 35 year old Reynaldo Almendarez was seen in the pool making a leud sexual gesture in front of little girls in the pool. When concerned adults confronted Almednarez, he spit in their face…and witnesses stated the fight was on. Almendarez, whose face was covered in blood, had to be treated by paramedics for a wound below his right eye. No arrests were made in that case.
