Several Injured In Crash On I-40 In Jefferson Co.

Interstate 40 eastbound was closed in Jefferson County Thursday night for a couple hours after an accident involving a semi. That accident happened near MM 412 around 8pm last night. All eastbound lanes were closed at that time, but traffic was able to proceed on the shoulder of the interstate. There were multiple injuries, some life threatening and one person was trapped in their vehicle. The interstate was reopened around 10 last night. The names of those injured in that crash has not been released.
