Sevier County Man Killed in Head On Collision

A Sevier County man is dead after a head on collision yesterday afternoon in Cosby. According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol, 21 year old Dwight Strausbaugh of Sevierville was traveling northbound on US 321 just south of the Foothills Parkway near Huff Road…when he drove his 2003 Pontiac Grand Prix across the double yellow line and into the path of a 2019 Ford F250 pickup going south. Strausbaugh was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the pickup was 64 year old John Wilson of Bethany, Missouri…neither he nor his passenger 67 year old Beverly Wilson were injured in that crash. According to the THP…Strausbaugh was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash. A toxicology report for drugs and alcohol has been ordered…more information on this fatal crash with be forthcoming.
