Sevierville PD Warns Of Phone Scam

The Sevierville Police Department is warning citizens about a donation scam. In This scam the caller is soliciting donations on behalf of the Sevierville Police Department. The caller ID may inaccurately show the call as coming from the Sevierville Police Department.

The police department in Sevierville says they do not solicit donations via telephone. If you receive a call like this, they say you should hang up and contact the Sevierville PD at 865-453-5506. Officials remind you that you should not provide any personal information over the phone to any unknown caller under any circumstance.
